About
Daniel Elms is an award-winning composer specializing in the creation of bespoke scores for film and television. Selected highlights from amongst continuing collaborations with Working Title, The UK Film Council, 180 Amsterdam and Parkville Pictures include the scores for two BAFTA nominated films, ghostwriting for the BBC's Natural World series and performances at the Cannes, New York and London BFI film festivals.
With celebrated craftsmanship and expertise in composing to moving image, Daniel regularly assists composers Sir Howard Blake, Jonathan Goldstein, Ruth Barrett and Chris Smith. Daniel's holistic working methods ensure the utmost care and attention to detail at every stage of composition; providing intelligent, virtuosic and integrated scores.
A Royal College of Music graduate scholar, Daniel's masters study of composition under Joseph Horovitz, Ken Hesketh and Peter Stark was generously supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
