Daniel has been awarded Performing Rights Society Foundation’s New Music Biennial Award 2017. The award will support a new fifteen-minute work, which The British Film Institute has commissioned Daniel to write. Bethia will commemorate his hometown, Hull, being named City of Culture 2017 by presenting the city’s maritime heritage through music, film and spoken word. This work, along with all of those commissioned by the PRSF Biennial Award, will play a pivotal roll in commemorating Hull’s time as City of Culture and in celebrating the city’s artistic renaissance. See the music page for further information about the work. Click here to read more about the award and join the conversation on Twitter with #NMB17.
